Weight capacity is the first filter
A heavy monitor needs an arm rated for the display weight, but the number on the box is only the starting point. Confirm the monitor weight without its original stand and stay within the manufacturer range.
Check VESA fit before buying
Verify the mounting pattern on the back of the display and whether an adapter is required. A strong arm is not useful if the plate does not fit the monitor.
The desk matters too
Large displays create more leverage at the desk edge. Check desktop thickness, material, clamp clearance and whether reinforcement is appropriate for your setup.
Adjustment should remain controlled
For a display that moves often, look for an arm that can hold its position without excessive tightening. If the screen rarely moves, a simpler mechanical mount can also make sense.
What we compare
We compare mounting style, adjustment range, desk-space use and suitability for demanding single-monitor setups. Always confirm the current manufacturer weight and size limits for your exact display.
