A standing desk adds movement to the setup
The monitor and arm travel with the desktop, so compatibility is more than simply attaching a clamp. Verify the exact display weight and VESA pattern, then check the arm manufacturer's desk-mounting requirements.
Check the underside before choosing a clamp
Standing desks often have frames, crossbars, control hardware or cable trays beneath the desktop. Measure the clear mounting area and desktop thickness rather than assuming the rear edge is unobstructed.
Plan cable slack for the full height range
Power and display cables need enough slack and routing clearance for the desk to travel between its lowest and highest positions without pulling on the monitor, hub or computer.
Single or dual displays?
For two monitors, check each display separately and plan their physical side-by-side fit. Our dual-monitor arm guide covers those additional checks.
Before you buy
Confirm monitor weight, VESA fit, desktop requirements, underside clearance, rear clearance and cable movement. If your main goal is freeing a compact desktop, compare our small-desk options too.
