YOUR DESK, YOUR RULES

A few details. A better starting point.

3 short steps
01 — How will you use the space?
02 — What would you like to improve?

Choose only what matters to you. You can remove individual pieces from your result.

This is an accessory planner. Check retailer prices and fit before buying. It does not quote a budget or include desks and chairs.

03 — What do you already have?

We will leave these out of your shopping checklist.

MAKE THE SPACE WORK

Plan around what you actually do.

01

A study desk

Reserve space for a book or notebook before adding accessories. If you move between reading and a laptop, a freestanding task lamp can be more practical than a monitor-mounted light. Start by controlling cable slack and deciding whether you need a separate keyboard. A compact study corner should still have a clear area for paper, rather than several organizers you do not use.

02

A gaming desk

Leave room for mouse movement and keep the display position in mind. Voice chat may benefit from a microphone, but test the one you already have first. Colored lighting creates atmosphere while a task light serves reading or work at the desk. Choose a cable route that still allows equipment to move. More accessories are useful only when they solve an actual problem.

A home office

Think through a normal working day. A camera, microphone or shortcut controller can help when calls and repeated actions take up time, but a simple laptop setup may not need them. Raising a laptop screen usually means planning space for a separate keyboard and mouse. Choose charging around the devices used together, and check shared-port power rather than assuming every port delivers the maximum printed on the charger.

How the desk setup builder works

The planner matches your selected needs to available products in WorkspacePick's catalog. It leaves out categories you already own, separates optional additions and lets you choose an alternative or remove a piece. Monitor positioning follows your laptop, single-screen or dual-screen choice. Compact layouts favor smaller options where the catalog supports them. The result is a starting checklist, not a guarantee that a specific accessory fits your hardware.

Start with the change that matters most. Install and test it before adding more. Check the current listing, manufacturer requirements and your own measurements before purchasing. Desks, chairs and live price totals are not included in this version.

Desk planning questions

Can I use this if I already have a desk setup?

Yes. Mark the accessory types you own, then choose the improvements you still need. The checklist focuses on missing pieces.

Does the builder check exact monitor compatibility?

It separates laptop stands, single-monitor arms and dual-monitor mounts. You still need to check monitor weight, VESA fit, desk material and mounting clearance for the exact hardware.

Do I need an account to save or share?

No. Save stores the plan link in this browser. Sharing creates a link containing the selected options. Anyone with that link can view the choices.

Does it build an Amazon cart or guarantee a price?

No. Each selected product has its own retailer link. Prices, stock, shipping and compatibility need to be checked on the retailer page.

Can I use it for a child's study space?

A parent or caregiver can use the study checklist and choose appropriate equipment for the child. The tool does not request a child's name or age and does not certify products for children's use.
